  1. Background All about Mhlalisi Thwala

When asked why he would like to join in this initiative his response was: On my first day at work Svend asked me to write where I see myself in doing this job.

As I have started repairing instruments, what I’ve realized is that most people do not take care of their instruments. It is the same as polishing your schools shoes you’re not supposed to place them in a place where they can fall or be knocked over, it is the same with the stringed instruments.

I see myself in ten years being able to play a musical instrument and teaching other people top play and take care of their instruments giving them the chance that I was also given so that they can have a future and go further with this type of music.

I’m also looking into having my own company and teaching people how to play and repair instruments as Svend is doing, I’m looking up to him as my mentor.
