I am a freelance flutist, specializing in playing for corporate functions, birthdays and weddings. My repertoire encompasses classical, contemporary and jazz musical genres. My client’s preferences and their style of function/event determine the genre of music. I am a member of The Johannesburg Festival Orchestra where I am involved with several orchestral performances (corporate functions and public concerts) as well as performing in “performing arts” productions such as ballets and operas (inter alia William Kentridge’s “Magic Flute” - 2007). I have also had the opportunity to accompany artists such as Helmut Lotti as part of the ochestra. I’ve performed as principal flutist of The Pro Musica Orchestra under the direction of Weiss Doubell for three years, performing in several orchestral concerts and opera performances such as “La Boheme”, “Don Giovanni”, “Madama Butterfly”, and “Die Zauberflote”. I obtained my BMus degree, cum laude, at the University of Pretoria and a Degré fin d’etude at The National Conservatory of Lyon in France.
